A contemporary artwork by the artist Dereje Shiferaw, titled "Stamped Out 2025", using mixed media on canvas. In this work, sitting in front of us with arms crossed, is a shirtless African man who appears to have tears going down his cheeks. This is a heavily stylised work. The man sits down with his legs spread out and his arms covering his crotch. The man wears red pants as the background is a chaotic symphony of white and lines of blue and bluish grey, similar to barbed wire on the left in red text and underlined boxes. The word 'visa' can be made out; in the bottom left and right, unrecognisable splotches of colour are also visible.

A contemporary artwork by the artist Dereje Shiferaw using mixed media on canvas. Displayed in its white shadow box frame hanging on a grey wall, a cropped silhouette of a woman from lower rib cage to head is visible, giving us a sense of scale.
