VANIA GOSHE

Bulgarian Artist

Born in 1976 in Chirpan, Southeast Bulgaria, Vania Goshe demonstrated an early passion and talent for art. She received her foundational art education between 1992 and 1993 at the School of Art and Music in her hometown under the guidance of artist Edrey Mihaylov (Rocco). From 1993 to 1996, she honed her skills through private lessons with esteemed artists such as Vladimir Kondarev (Chirpan), Elena Poneva (Troyan), Muzafer Sabri-Muzo (Chirpan), Veljo Mitev (Veliko Tarnovo), Ivan Ivanov (Veliko Tarnovo), and Prof. Georgi Stajkov (Veliko Tarnovo).

Vania pursued higher studies at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, earning a degree in TV and Cinema Camera Operator from the Department of Cinema, Television, and Show Business. Following her academic journey, she worked as a videographer in television and collaborated with international film companies as a camera person. She also was part of the camera team on live shows such as ‘Big Brother’ ,  ‘VIP Brother’ and ‘Star Academy’. Alongside her media career, she actively participated in art exhibitions and accepted commissions, nurturing her passion for painting.

Artistic Journey in Malta

Upon relocating to Malta, Vania made an immediate impact on the local art scene. Her debut participation in the Malta Society of Arts Annual Exhibition and Competition earned her an Honorable Mention, marking the beginning of her recognition as a distinguished artist.

Working in a variety of mediums, Vania skillfully blends realism with abstract elements, creating harmonious compositions that captivate viewers. Her mission as an artist is to provide an escape from the bleak realities of life, uplifting the spirit through vibrant colours, aesthetically pleasing forms, and evocative storytelling.

The rich cultural heritage and striking Mediterranean landscapes of Malta have deeply influenced her work. The interplay of golden limestone architecture, shifting sunlight, and the ever-changing sea provide an endless source of inspiration. Growing up in a continental climate, Vania discovered a new artistic dimension upon embracing Malta as her home, allowing her to reinterpret its beauty through her own lens.
