Christine X Art Gallery Presents “Valletta” – A Captivating Group Exhibition at 1926 La Galerie
Christine X Art Gallery is proud to present Valletta, a compelling new group exhibition celebrating the soul and scenery of Malta’s historic capital city. Hosted at 1926 La Galerie, nestled in the heart of Old Theatre Street, Valletta, the exhibition will run until 5th July 2025, offering an immersive visual tribute through the unique perspectives of three established artists.
Featured artists include Goran Cejkov, whose photorealistic oil paintings on canvas capture the intricate architecture and atmosphere of Valletta with stunning precision and emotion; Svetislav Martinovic, presenting moody, evocative watercolour works on paper, offering a darker, introspective view of the city’s streets and shadows; Anthony Weitz, known for his vibrant plein air oil paintings on canvas, provides spontaneous and sunlit interpretations of Valletta’s iconic urban landscape and Stephen Micallef, who brings into perspective all the happenings on Valletta’s streets through his work.
Valletta reflects the city through multiple lenses—meticulous realism, atmospheric abstraction, and expressive impressionism—creating a layered narrative of Malta’s capital as both muse and memory. The exhibition is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Entry is free of charge.
