SUMMER IN MALTA IS NOTHING WITHOUT A CISK I

by Olaug Vethal

Olaug Vethal had all the summer months free after scholastic years teaching art at De La Salle sixth form. She used up her time either painting bathers live at the beach or even her neighbours in the vicinity going about their daily lives. This work shows Maltese, and tourists alike, stopping for a cool glass of Cisk (a Maltese drink staple) from the neighbourhood bar.
