Remnants of a Maltese Summer 1

This series of film photographs showcases moments captured during the summer of 2022. It embodies the love I have for summer, especially the Maltese summer, and the melancholy feeling I get every time summer fades away. Capturing these fleeting moments on film leaves this raw untouched element to the work that further emphasises a nostalgic feeling.

Naomi Smith is a 19-year-old local multidisciplinary artist. She is currently reading for a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at the MCAST Institute for the Creative Arts. Smith experiments with various media including film photography, painting and collage to name a few.
