2025Salgada is a duo of visual artists formed by Camila Geoffroy Japiassu (b. 1990, Brazil) and Diego Japiassu (b. 1986, Brazil), currently based in Malta. Their work blends the delicacy of botanical forms with the strength of urban expression, creating a distinctive aesthetic they call Pop Art Botany. Through vibrant compositions that merge acrylic, spray paint and embroidery, the duo transforms everyday symbols into visual poems about identity, nature and transformation. Their art often arises from contrasts between nature and artifice, softness and energy, fragility and resistance, inviting viewers into an emotional dialogue between color and form.Alma Salgada has exhibited and collaborated internationally with brands and institutions in Brazil, the United States, Portugal and Malta, turning spaces into immersive experiences that connect art, culture and the poetry of the natural world.
