20cm by 20cm * ‘Geosmin’ is the scent of the soil after the rain Alfie Gatt is a Maltese artist whose passion for art began in childhood and led him to earn a degree from the Institute of Art & Design in Malta in 2005. Blending traditional and digital techniques, he explores painting, illustration, video editing, and 2D animation to express his creative vision. Since 2022, he has worked as a freelance artist, exhibiting internationally—including in London—and earning recognition in several art competitions.Alfie’s work captures the intimacy of solitude and silence, creating dreamlike, meditative scenes that invite reflection. His distinctive style merges figurative art with surrealism, combining graphical precision and fine art aesthetics. Using media such as watercolour, ink, coloured pencils, wax pastels, and oils, he also experiments with glass, wood, and even card decks. Through this diverse practice, Alfie transforms everyday materials into visually striking narratives that blur the line between imagination and reality.
