Benjamin Bio

Benjamin Bio is a young Ghanaian contemporary artist, who lives and works in Kumasi-Ghana. In today’s world of diverse identity, Benjamin sees space as an image that shape individuals identity and it’s with this idea he gets inspiration for his works.
Bio’s practice largely results from experimentation with pigments extracted from collected organic materials from different environment with synthetic charcoal on papers, canvases and other materials. Bio use these experimentation to explore and interrogate Space and it’s histories as potential stain or mark to reflect in an individual’s identity.
Benjamin Bio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
