Norwegian Artist, Born in 1946, Died 2007. 

Of Norwegian nationality, Olaug Vethal came to Malta in 1988, having spent most of her student and adult life in Hamburg, Germany. After one holiday visit to Malta, she decided to return permanently. She was so intrigued by the island and the Maltese people and this was very evident in her artworks.

She also taught art to A Level students at De La Salle Sixth Form. After twenty years living on the island, Olaug Vethal passed away, leaving behind a legacy of artworks that
celebrate the Maltese people, heritage and culture.
