Artist Call: “20 by 20” and “50 by 50” Group Exhibitions

We are inviting artists to submit 2D artworks in two size formats for upcoming group exhibitions in Valletta and Sliema, Malta. There is no restriction on theme or medium, as long as the guidelines below are followed.

✴️ Exhibition 1: “20 by 20 – A GROUP EXHIBITION”
📍 1926 La Galerie, Old Theatre Street, Valletta (opposite Manoel Theatre)
🗓️ 30 October – 12 December 2025

Artwork Requirements:

Artwork size: 20cm x 20cm
Medium: Any 2D media
Framing guidelines:

Works on canvas, wood, or similar can be unframed (if hangable and look well presented as they are) or displayed in a floating frame.
Works on paper or needing glass must be framed. Frame must not exceed 33cm x 33cm.

✴️ Exhibition 2: “50 by 50 – A GROUP EXHIBITION”
📍 Christine X Art Gallery, Sliema
🗓️ 6 November – 18 December 2025

Artwork Requirements:

Artwork size: 50cm x 50cm
Medium: Any 2D media
No works requiring glass protection will be accepted.
Framing guidelines:

Works on canvas, wood, or similar can be unframed (if hangable) or displayed in a floating frame.
Frames must not exceed 54cm x 54cm.

General Notes:

Artists are responsible for framing their own works according to the specifications.
Multiple submissions are welcome.
All selected works must be exhibition-ready upon delivery.

Artists of all levels and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Please submit clear images of the work(s), title, medium, dimensions, price at hand (please state if you are VAT exempt or not) and a brief artist bio to info@christinexart.com.

Deadline for submissions: 15th September 2025
You will receive a notification within a day after submission.
You will be notified if artworks are selected or not by 30th September 2025.
Selected artworks will need to be delivered at Christine X At Gallery in 53, Tigne Street c/w Hughes Hallet street in Sliema by 25th October 2025.
