Elena Degenhart is a Russian-born German artist specialising in contemporary realism, marine and figurative art, exploring themes of lost identities, memory and time. She works in soft pastels and other dry media as well as acrylics.
A professional artist since 2017, she has reached the level of a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, is a Member of the Pastel Guild of Europe, PoetsArtists (USA) and several other international art organisations. Her work has been shown with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries, London, UK; at Salon des Beaux Arts 2019, Carousel du Louvre, Paris, France; The Malta Society of Arts; with The South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts, Exeter Castle, UK; Association of Professional Artists of Austria in Vienna; with the International Association of Pastel Societies in Albuquerque, USA; and The Society of Graphic Fine Art in London.
Her artworks are in private collections throughout Europe, in the USA, Australia and Canada. She has won several awards including ‘Outstanding Pastel’ awards in the international painting competition BoldBrush (USA) in 2018 and 2019 and her work has been published in several magazines and newspapers, such as PoetsArtists Magazine (USA), Pratique Des Arts (France), Artists&Illustrators Magazine (UK), Maltese Herald and Times of Malta.
