Dawra fuq il-Kenura

by Stefania Farrugia

What is a great family activity whenever you go to the beach? Going for a ride on a canoe! Sailing a kenura also known as a canoe around the clear waters of the Maltese islands, exploring hidden caves and secluded coves, is an iconic summertime activity that offers a unique perspective of Malta’s stunning coastline. Navigating through the azure waters, surrounded by rugged cliffs and picturesque landscapes, provides an exhilarating sense of adventure and tranquility. Discovering the intricate network of caves and rock formations adds an element of exploration and discovery to the experience, making it a memorable adventure for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.

Canoeing is accessible to people of all ages and skill levels, making it a popular activity for families, couples, and sole travellers alike. Canoes and kayaks are always available for rent at various beaches, making it easy for visitors to enjoy a day out on the water. It also offers excellent opportunities for wildlife watching with the chance to spot marine life such as dolphins, sea turtles, and other creatures.

How can you refuse a ride on a canoe when you can get to feel yourself between sea and skies. You get this breathtaking feeling of being surrounded by water and nature. An opportunity to experience this wave of natural fresh air and ocean breeze.
