Engdaye Lemma (b. 1987, 1980 according Ethiopian calendar, Dessie, Ethiopia) received his BFA in Printmaking from the Alle School of Fine Art and Design in Addis Ababa in 2007 and currently lectures there as an assistant lecturer.
He’s had a good history of exhibitions and participated in workshops that focus on printmaking. He combines various techniques to try to express timeless and unbound, flexible concepts. This year he had his work exhibited with the Addis Fine Art Gallery in two group exhibitions: ‘Alle Legends’ at the Addis Fine Art Gallery in Ethiopia from January to April, and then ‘Eastern Voices: Contemporary Artists from East Africa’ at the Addis Fine Art Gallery in London from June to July. He recently exhibited at the gallery together with Tiemar Tegene in the exhibition 'Let's Agree to Disagree' at the gallery.
